The Athlete’s Foot boosts its marketing team
Footwear and athletic leisurewear retailer The Athlete’s Foot (TAF), owned by Swiss group Arklyz since 2021, has promoted two “instrumental” members of its marketing team.

Veteran TAF employee Darius Billings has been made vice-president of marketing, responsible for the company’s community engagement and StAART (The Strategic African American Retail Track) initiatives.

A key driver of the StAART programme, established in 2020, Mr Billings was also key to the development of TAF’s Impact Council, launched last year to help uplift underserved groups local to its US headquarters. He will continue to report directly to the organisation’s president and general manager of Americas, Matt Lafone.

New marketing manager Cassidy Dansberry will meanwhile report to Mr Billings. Ms Dansberry has stepped up from her former position as marketing coordinator at the retailer.

Mr Lafone said he was proud to announce the “much-deserved” promotion of both, highlighting their work to drive TAF's grassroots community initiatives forward and improve consumer engagement over the past year.

The company additionally announced the onboarding of a new social media coordinator and marketing coordinator, with all changes effective immediately.
