EMEA reshuffle shows more movement at top of VF
VF Corporation, the US-based owner of brands including Timberland, Vans and Altra, has announced changes to its leadership team in Europe.
The news follows Steve Rendle’s decision to retire as chief executive with immediate effect last month.
To allow for “stronger cohesion and alignment” across Europe and Asia, Martino Scabbia Guerrini’s remit has now extended to Asia, expanding his existing role to make him executive vice-president and president of Europe, Asia and emerging brands.
Meanwhile, general manager of Timberland in Europe, Mariano Alonso, will move over to The North Face, assuming the same responsibilities at that brand. Mr Alonso takes up the reins following the departure of Jan Van Leeuwen, who will now head up The North Face as general manager of the Americas. Current president of VF’s Global Packs division, Nina Flood, will replace Mr Alonso at Timberland in Europe.
VF International’s European headquarters are located in Stabio, Switzerland.
