Balenciaga’s Track trainer now offered as mule

Kering-owned, Paris-based Balenciaga, headed up by creative director Demna Gvasalia, has reimagined its Track trainer, first released autumn 2018, as a mule.   

Though now backless, typical Track elements remain, including its interwoven mesh and nylon upper, branded embroidery on the lateral front quarter, embroidered size detailing on the toe, double set of equipment-inspired lacing and the shoe’s dynamic, augmented heel, designed to propel the wearer forward. 

The new mule model sees polyurethane coating the descending shoe collar. 

Balenciaga is releasing the footwear in black, white, pink and beige colourways via a pre-order system on its website.
