Acquisition will help Hummel in running and training
Danish sports brand Hummel has acquired the Performance Group Scandinavia, parent company of the Halo and Newline brands.

This moves comes on the back of Hummel establishing new subsidiaries in China, India and the US in 2019 and is part of a growth drive that, the company hopes, will lead to revenues of 2 billion krone ($300 million) by 2023.

Newline and Halo have strong roots in running and training, areas in which Hummel hopes to grow to complement what it perceives as its existing strength in team sports, especially handball and football.

On announcing the acquisition, chief executive, Allan Vad Nielsen, said this was a step towards becoming “a visible international player in the running and training market”.
