Deckers praised for environmental and social values

Footwear group Deckers, owner of sheepskin boot brand Ugg, has been selected by Investor's Business Daily as one of the 50 Best ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) value companies for investors.

The US group came in at number 20 of the list complied using data from consultancy ESG, which “reflects broad strength in fundamental and technical areas linked to price performance”.

Deckers was the only company in the fashion sector. Topping the list was Edwards Lifesciences. Pepsi, Microsoft and Hasbro also made the top 50.

Deckers CEO Dave Powers said: "Performing well, while remaining socially and environmentally conscious is fundamental to our success and purpose as a company. We are thankful for this recognition acknowledging our ability to deliver for all stakeholders.”

Deckers’ portfolio includes UGG, Koolaburra, HOKA ONE ONE, Teva, and Sanuk.
