Geox adds Kofi Annan to its ethics committee

Footwear group Geox has appointed former secretary-general of the United Nations (UN) Kofi Annan to its ethics and sustainable development committee.

His principal responsibility will be to help the company update its code of ethics. He will also work to ensure the company implements its guidelines related to employees, shareholders, customers and suppliers.

Mr Annan received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001 for his work at the UN and for his commitment to preserving human rights and fighting against terrorism and HIV/AIDS.
