Implus adds to its portfolio of traction product brands

Footwear and outdoor accessories company Implus has announced the acquisition of winter traction footwear brand Stabil, adding it to an already extensive portfolio.

“Stabil’s hard work and efforts over the last 25 years have created a perfect product complement to Implus’ leading assortment of traction accessories,” said Seth Richards, CEO of Implus. “We’re excited to offer a multi-branded traction portfolio to our retailer, industrial and government customers as we continue building on our ‘one-stop-shop’ approach for all accessory needs.”

Stabil makes products in the US and Canada under the Stabilicers, Stat-A-Rest and Stabil Turf brand names. 

It will join Implus’ portfolio of traction brands, which already includes Yaktrak, SnowTrax by Yaktrak and ICEtrekkers. 

Stabil will operate as a subsidiary of Implus. Its sales operations, based in Biddeford, Maine, will be maintained, buts its fulfilment operations will be move to Implus’ headquarters in Durham, North Carolina.
