Allbirds touches down in fourth global market
US-based sustainable footwear brand Allbirds has launched its online business in Canada, making it the fourth global market in which it sells its products.

The brand has online operations in the US, New Zealand and Australia, shops in San Francisco and New York, and a number of pop-up outlets.

As well as launching online in Canada, it will open two pop-up shops at Nordstrom department stores in Toronto and Vancouver.

"We are looking forward to introducing Canadians to Allbirds, particularly as Canadians have a fundamental understanding about the importance of protecting our environment," said Tim Brown, one of Allbirds’ co-founders.

Allbirds, which specialises in shoes made from merino wool, announced in March that it had partnered with Lenzing to use its Tencel fibres in a new footwear collection called ‘Tree’.
