Wolverine slashes time-to-market with technology investment

Footwear group Wolverine Worldwide has cut the time it takes from idea to finished product by 70% by working with consultancy Coretek Services and IT specialists Citrix and Microsoft.

The group, which own Keds, Merrell and Sperry, had an application that was used for 3D modelling in the US headquarters but wished to move processes into the cloud to allow designers to collaborate worldwide.

Coretek developed an IT system that links the teams across the globe and means a process that used to take 425 days can now be done in 140 days.

Dee Slater, Wolverine Worldwide’s chief information officer, said: “When we have cloud-based technology, whether it’s our team in Asia, Europe, or our teams here in the US, we know we are going to service the business needs because Coretek and Citrix have an army of people behind it. We’re confident that Citrix will continue investing in this technology to make it faster and more scalable.”
