Bearpaw owner spies opportunity in factory contacts
US-based footwear group Romeo & Juliette, owner of Bearpaw brand, has launched a private label division which will offer design, sampling and production through its factory partners to retailers or brand owners.

It is being headed by Aaron Brown, who has previously worked for Nordstrom, Dr Martens, Zappos.com and Shoes.com.

He said: "As we mature as a company we want to maximise relationships with factories overseas and increase business opportunities year-round. Our factory partners manufacture lots of great product that may not be a fit for the Bearpaw portfolio but can be very beneficial to retailers and other wholesale brands.”

Romeo & Juliette was founded in California in 1986. Bearpaw was launched in 2001 and offers a range of leather and sheepskin boots, shoes and slippers.
