Growth continues for Brazilian footwear exports

Brazilian footwear’s export growth continued in the month of November with shipments of 11 million pairs and export revenues of $84.2 million. These figures represent increases of 12% in volume and of 12.7% in value compared to the month of November last year.

The November figures mean the overall figures for the first 11 months of 2016 of 108.2 million pairs of Brazilian shoes sold to export markets for a total of $871 million, up by 1.6% year on year in volume and by 3.6% in value.

Brazil’s biggest export market for its footwear in the January-November 2016 period was the US with 11.4 million pairs shipped and revenues of $195 million. Argentina was the next-most important export destination with 9.1 million pairs and revenues of $106.6 million.
