Mizuno USA president to step down

Bob Puccini, president of sports footwear brand Mizuno USA, will retire from his role as company president at the end of 2016. 

He will move to the position of non-executive chairman, where he will act as an independent consultant and advisor to the company’s senior management team. He also retains his place on Mizuno USA’s board of directors.

Mr Puccini joined Mizuno USA in 1995 and became president a year later. He had previously occupied leadership roles at companies including Adidas and Head Sports.

Current chief operating officer, Mark O’Brien, will take over as president on January 1, 2017. He will also serve as chairman of Mizuno Canada. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing brand, product and sales management.
