Adidas ocean waste sneaker to enter mass production
Adidas is to release one million pairs of its running shoe made from recycled ocean waste by the end of 2017.

The adidas x Parley sneaker is the result of a collaboration between the German manufacturer and ocean conservation organisation Parley for the Oceans.

It was launched earlier in 2016 with a limited run of 50 pairs, which were available to selected social media users who demonstrated their commitment to stop using single-use plastic items.

The shoes are made entirely from recycled plastic, with each upper containing 16.5 old plastic bottles as well as nylon from discarded fishing nets.
