New brand president for Vans

Footwear brand Vans, part of the VF Corporation, has named Doug Palladini as its president. The brand says he will be in charge of Vans’ global strategy and lead its regional sales teams. He will also oversee global marketing and continue to oversee sales in the Americas region.

“I am humbled by the responsibility I have been given to harness and expand that energy,” said Mr Palladini.

He has been at Vans since 2004 in various capacities. He spent nine years at the head of the Global Marketing team and had been vice president and general manager for the North America region since 2013.

His predecessor, Kevin Bailey, paid tribute to Mr Palladini’s “remarkable leadership and deep connection to Vans’ heritage” and said that his experience would serve him well in his future role. Mr Bailey will remain at president of VF’s Action Sports division.
