To meet this target, the US-based company has expanded its association with Trees for the Future, a non-profit aid organisation that aims to improve the lives and environments of groups of people in Sub Saharan Africa by planting trees. Oboz has offered to match every donation made to the Trees for the Future campaign, up to $5,000.
“We hope Oboz supporters, and anyone who thinks trees are cool, will join us for Earth Day with a small gift that really makes an on-the-ground difference for both people and their environment,” said Josh Fairchilds, vice president of Oboz.
Oboz has long been a supporter of Trees for the Future, making a donation to the organisation for every pair of shoes or boots sold by its retailers. Trees for the Future have planted over 100 million trees since 1989.
