China’s share of the US footwear market is falling

It warned, however, that footwear sales in the US “do not currently appear to be matching import growth” and said this suggests there could be inventory problems for brands and retailers later in 2016.
It also said that, while China is still the most important source of imported shoes, its share of all shoe exports to the US in the first two months of this year was just over 60% and that China is on course to have its lowest share of the US market in 17 years.
