Buyers from Egypt, Nigeria and Iran make an impression at Izmir ShoeExpo

The thirty-ninth Izmir International ShoeExpo took place in the Turkish city from March 7-10.

Local industry body the Aegean Shoe Producers’ Association organised the fair with the support of the Turkish Footwear Industrialists’ Association.

More than 230 Turkish and overseas companies exhibited new collections of women’s and men’s fashion shoes, as well as bags and other leathergoods.

Buyers from 34 different countries travelled to Izmir to attend; local reports said the most responsive buyers were from Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, but also from Egypt, Nigeria and Iran.
