Hispanitas to launch own-brand stores with Madrid flagship

Industry commentators in Spain say Hispanitas is preparing to open its own shops in a number of cities, starting with a flagship store in Madrid, probably in the iconic Calle Velázquez, probably opening in March 2016. The details have yet to be confirmed.
It will follow in the footsteps of brands such as Pikolinos, Mustang, and Callaghan, who have all launched own-brand retail operations relatively recently.
Hispanitas made more than 1 million pairs of shoes in 2014, a production level that it had not achieved since 2008. Its turnover was €46 million, an increase of 8% compared to the previous year.
