3D technology prints insoles in under an hour

UK-based orthotics and prosthetics brand Aortha has unveiled a 3d printing system which enables insoles to be printed in under an hour.

Hugh Sheridan, CEO of Aortha owner ALG International Holdings, said: “Opticians can make lenses in an hour for their customers. Now Aortha can provide orthotists and podiatrists with the ability to print a pair of insoles in an hour.”

The elasticity of the OrthaFlex material enables it to print at high speed, six times faster than anything else on the market, according to the company.
