Lumberjack 'redefines' suppliers, targeting 30% growth
Italian outdoor footwear brand Lumberjack is targeting 30% growth in turnover in 2015, and an increase in production volumes from 1 million to 1.4 million pairs per year.
Now owned by Turkish group Ziylan, the company says it will invest in the development of women’s and children’s lines, to diversify from its traditional male styles, and upgrade its production and distribution chains.
“These ambitious goals are driven by a consolidation in the domestic market, and above all the doubling of European and world markets,” said CEO Andrea Vecciato.
It will “redefine” its suppliers, “bringing much of the production to the Mediterranean basin”.
In Italy, it will embark on an extensive marketing campaign and set up a “qualified distribution” network. It is also hoping to expand in new markets in South America.
