Deichmann creates new director role

Footwear retail group Deichmann has named Manfred Kroneder as its director of purchasing, logistics and IT, a new post created specifically for him.

Mr Kroneder was previously director of purchasing and logistics at perfume retail group Douglas.

Deichmann said its aim was to reinforce its international expansion plans. The group sells more than 150 million pairs of shoes a year in 3,500 stores in more than 20 countries.
