CTC to launch English version of footwear book

French research and testing institute CTC has launched an English-language version of a technical guide to shoes that it first published in French.

CTC has said the book, originally entitled ‘La Chaussure Sous Toutes ses Coutures’,
has been a bestseller in French. It has called the English version ‘Shoes From Heel to Toe’.

“Readers will discover the world of shoes from a historical, design and manufacturing point of view, with specific focus on notions of comfort, quality, fitting and general care,” the organisation said on announcing the development.
