Hotter’s new chairman to drive online growth

UK footwear brand Hotter has appointed a chairman to help steer the company’s growth following its acquisition by private equity firm Electra at the start of the year

Alan White, who is a non-executive director at Direct Wines and Topps Tiles and was CEO of home shopping business N Brown, takes up his position with immediate effect.

Peter Taylor, CEO of Hotter, said: “Alan brings a wealth of home shopping experience as well as direct knowledge of retail and international expansion. His knowledge and advice will be invaluable in helping us continue to grow the business over the coming years.”

Hotter has grown significantly over the last four years and the now employs over 1,000 people. It produces a pair of hand finished shoes every 20 seconds, making it the UK’s largest shoe manufacturer.
