Micam Shanghai ‘a successful model’, minister says

Italy’s minister for economic development, Flavio Zanonato, has described Micam Shanghai, the Italian high-end footwear industry’s trade exhibition in China, as “a successful model of internationalisation for Italian products”.

The third edition of Micam Shanghai will take place in the Chinese city from March 24-26. It will include 260 exhibitors, from Spain, Portugal, Brazil, France, Turkey and the UK, as well as Italy, presenting their collections for autumn-winter 2014-2015 to an audience of qualified buyers from all parts of China, as well as from Hong Kong and South Korea.

Speaking on January 20 at a meeting in Beijing to boost trade between Italy and China, Mr Zanonato also said the event “constitutes a great opportunity for growth overseas” for the Italian footwear industry.
