Flexpoint Sensor Systems and Bend Tech have launched an insole system that provides wireless feedback on a number of performance metrics, including balance, power and speed.

Each insert pad features sensors and can be manufactured in different sizes. The sensor is constructed as a single layer so it cannot be damaged or degraded by dust or dirt, say the companies. Moisture and immersion in mud, water, sweat or other substances do not affect the sensors' performance.
