New cohort for Micam’s emerging designers slot
The organisers of the Micam exhibition, which next takes place in Milan from September 13-15, have announced a new cohort of emerging designers.
A panel of experts has selected 12 young footwear brands from Europe, North America, Asia and Africa for this, the ninth edition of the emerging designers programme. They will occupy a special area at the September show and follow up with a repeat visit next February.
The chief executive of Micam, Giorgio Possagno, described this part of the event as “a laboratory of ideas in which heritage, innovation and responsibility intertwine”.
He said the experience would bring the designers behind the 12 brands in contact with important international buyers.
The brands in the new cohort are Éclat, En Talons, Joel Wijangco, Maliko, Moon2gether, Nalebe, Paidal, Raphia, Stefano Mugnai, Te Dreamers Club, Tenconi and Wud.
