Former Nike executive joins Puma as VP BU Core
Puma has appointed Marcia Dos Santos as Vice President BU Core, effective July 15, in a newly created position that will report directly to Chief Brand Officer Maria Valdes.
Ms Dos Santos joins Puma from Nike, where she most recently served as Vice President Merchandising Women's EMEA. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the sporting goods industry, having worked across product categories and regional markets.
Puma said the appointment forms part of its ongoing transformation programme, which has seen the company establish dedicated teams for its Sportstyle and Core business units.
Commenting on the appointment, Ms Valdes highlighted Ms Dos Santos' commercial and merchandising expertise, as well as her experience leading teams and delivering growth across women's, men's and kids' categories.
The Core business is described by Puma as the company's commercial engine, with the new role created to support its future development and growth.
