BFA names new CEO
The British Footwear Association (BFA) has appointed Ian Cartwright as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Richard Shetliffe.
Mr Cartwright is currently chief operating officer at Mahabis and has more than 30 years of footwear industry experience, having previously held roles at Calla Ltd., Royal Albartross, Seven Feet Apart, Hudson Shoe Agencies and Base London.
BFA chair Jane Wilson said Mr Cartwright brings strategic insight and industry experience and understands the challenges facing footwear businesses today.
Mr Cartwright said he looks forward to working with members, partners and the board to ensure the association continues to provide practical support and a strong voice for the British footwear sector.
