BFA appoints new CEO
Richard Shetliffe has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of the British Footwear Association (BFA), starting May 14, 2024.
With over 30 years of experience in the footwear industry, including leadership roles at prominent brands like Dr. Martens, VF Corporation and Havaianas, Mr Shetliffe brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the position.
During his tenure at Alpargatas S.A., the parent company of Havaianas, he spearheaded UK operations, driving substantial growth through innovative strategies. Jane Wilson, Chair of the BFA, praised Mr Shetliffe's appointment, citing his industry experience and track record of success.
Mr Shetliffe expressed his excitement about the new role, highlighting his eagerness to represent and promote the footwear sector. His appointment is expected to further the BFA's mission of supporting and serving its members while advancing the interests of the industry.
