Ferragamo’s turnaround bears fruit with growth in America

Italian fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo has confirmed a “solid start to the year”, despite a complex landscape.

First-quarter revenues of €209 million were flat compared with the same quarter last year.

Its direct-to-consumer channel  - which includes its own stores and ecommerce sites - saw double-digit growth in North and Latin America.

The group will prioritise this market, renovating its two flagship stores on New York’s Fifth Avenue and in Los Angeles Beverly Hills, alongside the openings of two temporary stores.

It said: “Despite the persistent global instability, exacerbated by the Middle East conflict and its potential short to medium-term consequences, Ferragamo remains focused on executing its strategic plan, leveraging its brand heritage and strengths to drive desirability, refining product mix and ensuring consistency of messaging across all channels.”
