Growth continues as On looks to take robotic production ‘commercial’
Athletic footwear and apparel brand On has reported sales revenue of 831.9 Swiss francs (CHF) for the first three months of 2026, an increase of 14.5% compared to the first quarter of last year.
On’s full-year sales for 2025 reached CHF 3 billion, which represented a record for the Zurich-based company and annual growth of 30%.
For this most recent quarter, it said it had achieved growth of more than 40% in Asia, “supported by standout momentum in China and South Korea”.
Its apparel business grew by more than 45% compared to the first quarter of 2025. The company said it had “a strong innovation pipeline”, including using its LightSpray technology to produce footwear on a broader commercial platform, following “elite athlete validation”.
On announced LightSpray in 2024. The technology involves using a robotic arm to spin the upper of a shoe in a single step. It opened a first LightSpray factory in Zurich in 2025, incorporating four robots. A second LightSpray factory in South Korea in February 2026 with 32 robots. On said this would increase its LightSpray production capacity 30-fold in 2026.
Founder and co-chief executive, Caspar Coppetti, said it had been “an outstanding start to the year”.
