Cambodia predicts surge in shoe orders
02/12/2024
Cambodia enjoys several free trade agreements and an established footwear manufacturing network. Brands are increasingly looking to diversify their supply chain and decrease reliance on China, particularly in light of tariffs and restrictions.
The country earned about $1.3 billion from shoe exports during the first 10 months of 2024.
Ly Khun Thai, chairman of the CCIA and of the Cambodia Footwear Association (CFA), said several factories had secured big orders from brands impressed by the quality of the shoes.
Cambodia operates around 155 footwear factories employing 156,000.
