Creative director appointment confirmed by Tod’s

High-end footwear and accessories group Tod’s has confirmed that Matteo Tamburini will be its new creative director.
Brands at which Mr Tamburini has worked before include Bottega Veneta, Schiarparelli and Rochas.
Tod’s chief executive, Diego Della Valle, confirmed the appointment in recent comments to Milan-based business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore. He said: “Matteo Tamburini is a talented designer. His modern vision of high quality and of Italian lifestyle will certainly bring added value to our company.”
The arrival of Matteo Tamburini comes almost five months after Tod’s announced that previous creative director, Walter Chiapponi, would leave the role this autumn.
