Vans goes from Old Skool to Knu Skool

VF-owned casual footwear brand Vans has unveiled the Knu Skool, an updated take on its now-iconic Old Skool skate shoe, first released in 1977.
Reinterpreted for today, the 90s-inspired, low-top silhouette has much-exaggerated, chunkier proportions. It retains key design features like the Sidestripe, this time a bevelled version, but still inspired by founder Paul Van Doren’s original “jazz stripe”.
Classic suede uppers and rubber waffle outsoles provide a sense of familiarity.
Vans reported a 12% year-on-year decline for the twelve months ended April 1 last month.
