Growth for Garmont
Outdoor footwear brand Garmont has reported revenues of €40.5 million for 2022, an increase of 60% compared to the previous year. The Veneto-based company said this result was a testament to its ability to respond to market opportunities as they arise.
Chief executive, Pierangelo Bressan, said Garmont had been able to maintain its market position in spite of increasing production costs and supply chain shortages.
Germany remained the brand’s top market; it has a wide distribution network in Germany and generated a 60% increase in sales with a 60% increase in turnover there. It achieved good results in the rest of Europe too and said demand for its products was strong in the US, growing by 40% compared to 2021.
The company produced more than 500,000 pairs of shoes and boots in 2022. Mountaineering boots and hiking footwear were the most popular categories, increasing by 50% year on year.
