Assocal president says Micam offers “extraordinary opportunity”
Milan’s international footwear fair, Micam, is preparing to open the doors on its 95th edition, which will take place from February 19-22.
Organisers said that, in the light of encouraging signs of an upturn in the market, they had decided to reinstate the fair’s traditional four-day format so as to offer exhibitors and buyers more opportunities to network and do business.
A total of 988 brands will showcase their products at the event, 537 from Italy and 451 from other countries.
New entries at this edition include Alberto Guardiani, Buffalo Boots, Cult, Kenneth Cole, Luciano Padovan, and Oxs.
President of Italy’s national footwear manufacturers’ association Assocalzaturifici, Giovanna Ceolini, said: “At a pivotal moment for sustaining the economic recovery of the sector and bringing productivity back to pre-pandemic levels, this trade show represents an extraordinary opportunity.”
