Documentary wins awards for Clarks

An international competition for creative professionals who inspire others, the Muse Creative Awards, has named footwear brand Clarks among the winners in the most recent edition.

In total, three platinum and two gold awards in this year’s competition have gone to Clarks for a short documentary ‘Clarks and New York’.

The thread that ties  together this documentary retrospective of just over 13 minutes is the iconic Wallabee ankle boot. It is ever present as director, Set Free Richardson, traces its history through the fashion, music and the art scene in New York City, starting with the rise of hip-hop in the 1980s.

Punctuated by a series of personal testimonials from the heart of New York’s cultural scene, the documentary highlights Clarks’ ties with New York’s community and cultural roots as exemplified by Wallabee.
