Potential strategic buyer for Wolverine Leather

Footwear group Wolverine World Wide has said the process it put in place in December to divest itself of its in-house leather division is now very active.

On January 9, exactly a month after announcing its decision to sell Wolverine Leather or licence its operations to a third party, the group said it had moved quickly to put the decision into effect.

Chief finance officer, Mike Stornant, said Wolverine had been encouraged by the progress it has made and that “potential strategic buyers” had already emerged for Wolverine Leather and for the Keds footwear brand, which the group has also decided to let go.
