Isa TanTec to expand materials research

Leather manufacturing group ISA TanTec has secured the support of the local authorities in China’s Guangdong province to expand its research into sustainability.

With this support, the group’s Chinese tannery, Heshan TanTec, will seek to investigate new technologies and develop new sustainable materials under the auspices of the COSM (Creation of Sustainable Materials) division that it set up a year ago.

Senior sustainability manager at Heshan TanTec, Dr Ana Zhou, will lead this research work.
