eBay offers shoe seconds at 60% off
27/04/2022
Described by eBay as the fashion equivalent to local supermarkets’ own wonky vegetable initiatives, designed to reduce food waste, Imperfects encompasses shoes, apparel and accessories that are new, but feature defects such as a scuff, mark, loose thread or a missing button.
Ex-display items which cannot subsequently be sold at full price have also been included in the ever-growing product mix, which currently extends to around 3,250 search results priced at up to 60% off the retail price otherwise recommended for their design.
The site said that every Imperfects purchase - each of which is offered via a fixed-price format - includes free shipping, a 30-day returns window and a money-back guarantee.
Co-founder of Sole Responsibility (which specialises in the resale of footwear and clothing factory seconds on eBay), Simon Payne, commented: “Imperfect [articles], while perhaps not able to be sold at retail price by brands, still deserve a space in someone’s wardrobe.
"Imperfects will save thousands of high-quality fashion items from going to waste too soon and help the conscious minded consumer to get their hands on in-demand brands.”
