Ugg launches first boot from ‘regenerative’ sheepskin

Footwear brand Ugg has launched its second carbon-neutral Icon-Impact Collection, and its first Classic style featuring sheepskin sourced from regenerative agriculture farms.

The company is working with partners on regenerative farming programmes that help restore soil, creating greater biodiversity and opportunities to sequester carbon.

The Icon-Impact collection includes The Fluff Yeah Terry, Fuzz Sugar Terry Slide and Fuzz Sugar Terry Cross Slide with carbon offsets purchased for the emissions they create, which the brands says makes them carbon neutral.

The textured terry twist styles feature a looped blend of Responsible Wool Standard-certified wool and Tencel lyocell. SugarSole outsoles are made with renewable sugarcane.

Ugg is also partnering One Tree Planted to plant 3,950 in the US Pacific Northwest and 10,000 in England.
