CLIA praised for publicising leather laws

14/02/2022

China’s state publicity department, ministry of justice and national office of law popularisation recently commended China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) for its “outstanding” contribution to propagating leather-related legal knowledge throughout the country.

The award specifically recognises CLIA’s efforts between 2016 and 2020, also known as the period of China’s seventh five-year plan for law popularisation.

The national leather body said that it has “always attached great importance” to raising awareness of relevant rules and regulations across the industry, adding that it has tried to do so by combining these efforts with wider industry development initiatives.

CLIA further stated that its attempts at improving literacy when it comes to laws around leather have been well-received by local enterprises, resulting in “significant” improvements over the period, both in terms of abiding by and advocating for the law.
