Pittards launches full footwear service
UK-based tannery and leathergoods group Pittards has launched a complete footwear solution for brands, offering services from the leather sourcing, through design to manufacture.
Pittards can offer one-off designs or full in-house leather and footwear production.
Brands including Vivobarefoot manufacture ranges at its Ethiopian facility. Discussing this collaboration, Pittards CEO Reg Hankey told World Leather last summer: “The future is about collaborative supply chains. Vivo is a great example of that, there’s a lot of trust and sharing between us. We offer a vertical supply chain because we supply the leather from the tannery as well as the shoes.”
Pittards’ footwear team works across both the company’s UK and Ethiopia divisions, with design, development and sampling based at the Yeovil headquarters and full production at its modern Addis Ababa factory.
