Shanghai restrictions lead to ACLE postponement

10/08/2021

With only three weeks to go before the scheduled start of the event, the organisers of the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) in Shanghai have announced its postponement.

Instead of running in Shanghai from August 31 to September 2, the event is now scheduled to run from November 23-25 at the same venue, the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong.

In a statement, the organisers said: “The change comes as a result of tightened preventive measures introduced by the Shanghai pandemic prevention and control department.”

The event is jointly organised by the China Leather Industry Association and APLF Limited. It did not go ahead in 2020 because of the covid-19 pandemic. In 2019, it attracted 1,056 exhibitors from 34 countries.
