Spanish shoe group forges ahead with China plan

Menorca-based footwear group Mascaró has succeeded in setting up its first three stores in China. Working with a local partner, it now has stores in Beijing, Shanghai and in the capital of Liaoning Province, Shenyang.
Through the same local partner, the group has also begun selling its shoes online in China. Its principal brands are Mascaró and Pretty Ballerinas.
It has told media in Spain that it intends to expand its operation in China to 20 stores in the next three years.
