March editions of Micam, Lineapelle and Mipel are cancelled
Milan’s footwear, leather and leathergoods exhibitions, Micam, Lineapelle and Mipel, will not go ahead from March 20-24. The organisers made the announcement on February 3.
They said the restrictions in place in Italy at the moment to control the spread of covid-19 will make it possible for exhibitions to take place in person again from March 6. But the organisers of the leather industry events said they had taken the “painful but necessary” decision not to go ahead with their March shows.
An important consideration, they said, was that restrictions for health and travel reasons would still have made it difficult for thousands of industry professionals from all parts of the world to travel to Milan and attend the events as normal.
