530 million-plus views in 12 hours: Roger Vivier taps Deng Lun

French luxury brand Roger Vivier recently announced that it had chosen Chinese actor Deng Lun (pictured) to be its new brand ambassador, the first male face of the brand. 

Mr Deng reportedly has around 39 million followers on Chinese social media platform Weibo at present. 

The launch campaign highlighted the brand’s signature Flower Strass Buckle pumps and Miss Vivier Strass Buckle handbag, both of which are available via Roger Vivier’s Tmall flagship store and WeChat mini programme. 

Significantly, the announcement campaign hashtags (#RogerVivierBrandAmbassadorDengLun and #TheFallOfHearts) garnered over 420 million and 110 million views, respectively, within 12 hours, according to reports.
