Further cautious optimism from Stella following 2020 decline
Footwear group Stella International has announced declines in its full-year results for 2020.
It brought in revenues of just over $1.1 billion, down by 23.4% year on year, and shipped 43.4 million pairs of shoes, a fall in volume of 26.9%.
Its average selling price per pair was down only slightly, though, at $25.70, which is 10 US cents lower than the figure for 2019.
The group said there was a decrease in demand last year owing to the covid-19 pandemic but said it was “cautiously optimistic” about order levels for the upcoming spring and summer 2021 season. “We still have low visibility for the second half of 2021 due to the recent covid-19 driven lockdowns in many countries around the world,” it added.
