Technology will make shoe production in France viable for ASF 4.0

Use of digital technologies will allow ASF 4.0, a spin-off of textile group Chamatex, to launch a collection of sports shoes made in France.

Construction of a new factory is already under way close to Chamatex headquarters in Ardoix, south of Lyon.

ASF, which stands for Advanced Shoe Factory, is working closely with technology provider Siemens to equip the new production site with high levels of automation. It aims to start production in 2021.
