Fendi appoints Karl Lagerfeld successor
Italian luxury brand Fendi has appointed Kim Jones as artistic director of women’s collections, filling the void left when fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld died early last year.

Mr Jones (pictured) will oversee haute couture, ready-to-wear and fur collections for women. He will also work with Silvia Venturini Fendi, who will continue to create the accessories and menswear collections.

At the same time, Mr Jones will maintain his role as artistic director of Dior Men.

Serge Brunschwig, Fendi’s chairman and CEO, described Mr Kim as “one of the most talented and relevant designers of today”.

Mr Jones will present his first Fendi ready-to-wear collection in February during Milan Fashion Week.
